SHADES systems offer the flexibility to arrange artwork in multiple ways and find the best layout without endlessly damaging the walls. It is not cheap, but the components are good quality. The only issue, and it is time consuming, is finessing the cable system so that the artwork stays level and doesn't pull too far from the wall, especially if you are hanging several works on the same cable. Having heavier works on top helps, I find, but be prepared to live with some artworks that will not be hanging perfectly flush with your walls.

Very happy with the Stas Steel Cables with Loop I ordered to hang pictures from my Stas picture rail system. It's a really cool system! And the customer service I've received throughout from Elizabeth Robison has been outstanding!

These cables are great. They are strong and yet very sleek and discreet. I use two (one from each eye hook) for larger paintings with the zipper hooks. It is so easy, I love it!

The STAS steel Cable is just the product I needed to secure heavier pieces of Artwork on the walls. The ability handle up to 44lbs of weight gives me the assurance that I can securely hang most pieces of Art in our Gallery.

These cables are very well made and are of excellent quality. They thread easily into the STAS Zipper and allow the hook to slide smoothly up and down the length of the cable. I highly recommend all these STAS components.

The wire is another great product from STAS, it allows the hook to slide easily but yet allows great grip. A well-built product, even has anti fray qualities.
